On arrival you will receive a warm, friendly Irish - "Cead Mile Failte"  - a hundred thousand welcomes!

Schedule Commences: 4pm Saturday 15th  - 11am Saturday 22nd, April  2023

We meet in the afternoon in a hotel in Bantry, West Cork and travel together to our select accomodation nearby. You then can relax after your journey and take all the time you need to settle in to our private secluded property. The Retreat House is set on its own exotic wild woodland garden on the shores of Bantry Bay, offering beautiful sea views, with direct private access to the sea and every modern comfort you can imagine. We love to include plenty of down time during our retreats so you can explore the beautiful surroundings and the local natural environment.

Each morning we will rise with the sun to meditate together, do some gentle yoga and pranayama to start our day off in the best possible way. After a leisurely breakfast of fresh local produce, you can take some quiet time to journal, swim in the sea or explore the surrounding woodland. Each day we like to keep the itinerary flexible as we simply follow our intuitive guidance and this helps you to develop and strengthen your intuition. Afternoons will include adventures to explore the rugged, beautiful landscape and nearby ancient heritage sites.

Your meals will include simple home cooked vegetarian dishes. However, there will also be opportunities to eat out at local pubs and cafes (not included) when we are off exploring some of the local towns and villages. Expect short hikes, sea swimming, and a little shopping at local craft shops. Evening activities will vary, there will be an outdoor sauna experience, a fire ceremony and lots of cosy chats around the table, along with music, dancing, and lots of laughter.

Breathe and Live the Wild Atlantic Way

Throughout the week we will meditate at least twice a day to help reset or establish your meditation practice and take time to do some deep soul writing and tune in to what wants to be seen and heard. On Friday evening our week together culminates with a celebratory dinner as we reflect on our mystical week together.  On Saturday, 22nd April, we end the retreat shortly after breakfast. We will check out of our accomodation by 10am, you can arrange your transport to take you back to Cork City around noon, it's approx. 90 km. Please note the journey takes just over an hour so please arrange your onward travel arrangements for later that afternoon.

All you have to do is simply book your flights to arrive in Ireland before Saturday 15th April

Flights can be booked into Dublin or Shannon Airports and you can take a train or bus to Cork.

Alternatively fly directly into Cork International Airport.

There are many magical, hidden, treasures that you can look forward to visiting and experiencing.

Drombeg Stone Circle is a circle of 17 standing stones which on excavation showed that there had been an urn burial in the centre. It has been dated to between 153BC and 127AD. It is locally known as the Druid's Altar, and is easily accessible as it is located on the edge of a rocky terrace overlooking the sea.

Glengarriff Nature Reserve the setting here is spectacular, the woods are nestled in the sheltered glen opening out into Glengarriff Harbour.  Above the woods rise the Caha Mountains, with their dramatic layers of sheer rock creating a stunning waterfall.

Gougane Barra is a scenic valley and heritage site in the Shehy Mountains of County Cork, it is at the source of the River Lee and includes a lake with an oratory built on a small island by St. Finbarr, the Patron Saint of Cork. It’s said that when he first arrived at Gougane Barra he was so blown away that he decided to build a Monastery on its grounds. The ruins of his Monastery can still be viewed today on the island that’s adjacent to the Church. You can also find the Cathedral build in his name (St Finbarr’s Cathedral) in Cork City.

Lough Hyne is a place of peaceful serenity, steeped in local folklore and home to a unique ecosystem. It is one of the most important marine habitats in Europe and was made Ireland's first Marine Nature Conservation Reserve. Above the narrow rapids stands the ruins of an 8th Century church to St Brigid. Beside the church is an early inscribed cross and St Brigid's Well, where it is said the knees of the saint have made impressions in the rocks.

“This is the time to be slow,
Lie low to the wall
Until the bitter weather passes.

Try, as best you can, not to let
The wire brush of doubt
Scrape from your heart
All sense of yourself
And your hesitant light.

If you remain generous,
Time will come good;
And you will find your feet
Again on fresh pastures of promise,
Where the air will be kind
And blushed with beginning.”
