Session-by-Session Course Overview
Session 1: Introduction to Ayurveda & The Mind Body Principles
Ayurveda is a consciousness-based system of healing. As you change your perception and interpretation you improve your health and wellbeing. A consciousness based approach views symptoms as a sign to pay attention to the choices you make. . Take the Dosha Quiz and discover your unique mind-body type and discover how the doshas are responsible for all of the functions of your body and mind. Derived from the five elements the three doshas organise themselves into the principles of movement, transformation, and protection.
Session 2: Multidimensional Nature of Life & Meditation
According to Vedic philosophy life is a multi layered spectrum which we experience through our sensory perceptions. Viewed through the eyes of a quantum physicist, the essential raw material of the universe is not material, your body is made up of subatomic particles moving at lightning speeds through vast empty spaces. These are fluctuations of energy and information. Meditation provides access to expanded states of awareness, as you experience subtle aspects of your true nature and become more intimate with the dimension of yourself that is not bound by time or circumstance. In the silent space between your thoughts you access the source of balance and wellbeing. Session 3: Ayurvedic Nourishment for Mind, Body & Soul
We nourish ourselves by converting the energy and information of our environment. into the biological intelligence of our body. A balanced diet containing all six tastes provides us with nourishment and proper digestion is essential to great health . Ayurveda's approach to a healthy metabolism, empowers you to nurture your digestive fire, with guidelines on how, and when to eat for your unique mind-body type. Session 4: Ayurvedic Daily Routines to Detoxify, Purify and Rejuvenate
Toxins accumulate in our body and mind when our metabolism is weak, in order for us to extract optimal nourishment from our environment we need a strong and healthy digestive system. Conscious awareness helps us identify where we are storing toxicity in our body. Gentle cleansing can eliminate accumulations in both mind and body. Session 5: Healing Through the Senses & The Inner Pharmacy
The five senses are the gateways through which we experience the world. The quality of these impressions determine the quality of our thoughts and feelings. Learn how each of the five senses holds an important key for creating balance. Sounds, smells, tastes, feelings and sights can all be used to balance, nourish and heal. Discover what type of music and scents balance your unique mind-body type, experience a transformative eyes-open visual meditation, and detox your entire mind-body system with Ayurvedic self-massage with soothing or invigorating aromatherapy essential oils.
Session 6: Emotional Freedom & Intimacy with Yourself
Uncover your deepest human needs, learn how to use conscious communication to transform your relationships, discover a simple technique for dissolving unhealthy emotional habits, and experience a powerful exercise to heal and clear negative emotions. Take time for self-reflection and personal growth as you learn how to accept your feelings without judgment.
